Q As blood pressure increased , what happened to the glomerular capillary pressure and the glomerular filtration rate ? How well did the results compare with your prediction ? 2. 1. As the blood pressure is increased , glomerular capillary pressure and the glomerular filtration rate also increases. Glomerular filtration is increased due to the pressure gradient created by the blood in the glomerulus . Increased blood volume and increased blood pressure will leads to increase in the glomerulus filtration rate. The afferent arteriole dilation and the increased hydrostatic pressure leads to increase in both. I predicted that as blood pressure gets increased so will the glomerular capillary pressure and the filtration rate .The results proved my prediction because the more that the blood enters the capillaries in the Bowman’s capsule, the higher the pressure goes up , as well as the filtration rate increases due to the pressure. This is applicable for more filtration of blood.
